Parveen Provision & General Store

You can find us in the B Block Market on G.T Road, specifically at Surya Nagar 3B-B. This is a general provision store, so we carry all the basic things that a household needs. We have bags of rice, different types of lentils, and all the usual soaps and detergents. The shop is quite full, with items stacked all the way up to the ceiling. It can be a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside trying to pick out their groceries. We start our day early, around the time the milk and bread deliveries arrive at the market. Throughout the morning, it's a lot of weighing out sugar or flour for the local residents. We have been in Surya Nagar for a long time and we know most of our customers by their names. It’s a very neighborhood-focused business. We don't have any self-checkout counters or fancy carts, just us behind the wooden counter helping people with their lists. Sometimes we run out of things and have to wait for the next truck to come down G.T Road. The market is always a lively place to be. We enjoy the daily chats with the people who stop by for a packet of biscuits or some tea leaves. It’s just a normal, busy grocery store where we try to keep the shelves stocked and the customers happy.
