Negi General Store

Our shop, Negi General Store, is tucked away in the Praladhgari area of Vasundhara Sector 16. It’s right in the Main Market where most local people do their daily shopping. We’ve been here in Ghaziabad for several years now. It’s a typical general store where you can find almost any small thing you might need for your house on short notice. We carry groceries like rice and lentils, and also things like shampoos, batteries, and cleaning supplies. The area is quite residential, so we get a lot of families coming in throughout the day. The mornings are usually spent unloading crates from the rickshaws and putting things on the shelves. It’s a lot of physical work but it keeps us busy and moving. We don’t have any big marketing slogans or fancy posters. We just open the shop and talk to the people who come in. Sometimes the power goes out in the sector, and we sit by the door waiting for it to come back while chatting with neighbors. It’s just how things are in this part of the city. We know which neighbors like which type of biscuits or tea. It’s a simple life running a store like this. We aren't trying to compete with the big malls. We are just here for the people who want to walk down the street and pick up a loaf of bread or some eggs quickly. We just keep the doors open and wait.
