Mohammad Naeem

If you ever find yourself out in Hapur village Asoda, you might run into Mohammad Naeem. We’ve been operating from this little corner for a long time. It’s a quiet village mostly, though the tractors can get pretty loud during harvest season when everyone is out in the fields. The work here is steady, but it’s not the kind of thing where we’re rushing around like people in the city do. We take our time and make sure things are handled. The office is really just a simple room with a couple of chairs and a wooden table that’s seen better days. We don't have a receptionist or fancy computers. Mostly, it’s just us talking to folks who walk in from the main road. Sometimes the rain makes the path outside a bit muddy, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the floor. It’s a lot of manual work and checking things by hand. My cousin helps out sometimes when it gets really busy, but usually, it’s just a small operation. We keep the doors open to catch the breeze because it gets quite hot in the summer. There’s a big tree right outside that gives some shade in the afternoons. It’s not a complicated life, but it keeps us busy enough to stay out of trouble. We know almost everyone who lives nearby, which makes the days go by faster. We just do what needs to be done every day.
