Miraj Alam

Miraj Alam is based out of House No. 170 in Gali No. 3. This is in Indira Colony, which is in the Sahibabad area of Ghaziabad. We are right on the edge of Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. The colony is quite packed with houses and small shops. Our place is easy to find once you get into the third street. It’s a brick house with a green door. I usually work from the front room. It gets a bit hot in the summer because the sun hits that side of the building directly. We use a cooler to keep things decent. Sahibabad is an industrial hub, so there are always trucks moving around nearby. You can hear the distant hum of the factories at night. We’ve been living and working here for quite some time. The people in Indira Colony are friendly and we all know each other’s names. I usually walk down to the corner shop for a snack in the afternoon. My workspace is a bit cluttered with notebooks and various items. It’s not a corporate office. It’s just where I sit down to get my things done. We don’t make big claims about what we do. It’s just a daily routine like anyone else’s. We appreciate the quiet moments when the street settles down after a long day. It's just a regular life in 201005.
