Mayoor School

Mayoor School is at Plot No 1 in Noida Sector 126. It’s right in the middle of a very modern part of the city, with tall glass buildings all around us. The school itself has a lot of space, though it feels smaller when all the students are here at once. We have a large gate that stays closed most of the day, with a small cabin for the guard. The playground gets a lot of use, and the grass is a bit worn down in the spots where the kids play football. Inside, the walls are covered with posters and student work that’s been there for months. We have a lot of stairs, and everyone is always running up and down them to get to their next class. The office staff is usually busy with phone calls and paperwork, sitting behind desks piled high with folders. It’s a noisy, energetic place for most of the day. The hum of the expressway isn't far off, so you always hear a bit of traffic in the background. We have a canteen that sells snacks, and it’s always the most popular spot during the break. After the kids leave at three, the teachers stay back for a while to finish their grading and clean up their desks. It’s a pretty standard routine that we’ve been following for a long time now.
