Mayank General Store

Our store is tucked away in Hemraj Wali Gali, right on the ground floor. Being near the Ghaziabad railway station means there is always someone moving around. It’s a busy little lane, and you can hear the trains if it’s quiet enough at night. We sell the usual general store items that families need for their kitchens and homes. It’s a small space, so we have to be organized, though sometimes boxes pile up near the back door. I’ve been running this place for a while now. The heat in the summer can be tough in this narrow gali, but we have a good fan. Most of our customers are locals who live in the surrounding houses. They come in for soap, tea leaves, or maybe some biscuits for their kids. It’s not a flashy shop with bright lights, just a normal place with honest prices. I spend a lot of time talking to the delivery guys who struggle to bring their carts down the alley. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just use a torch until it comes back. It’s just how things are here. We keep the doors open from early morning until the last train crowd thins out. It’s a lot of hours, but it keeps us going. No big plans, just keeping the shop running well for everyone who stops by our small alley.
