Manik Super Battery

Down in Hapur Mohlla Mandi, in the Pilkhua area of Panchsheel Nagar, you’ll find us tucked away in Sunder Sunar Wali Gali. It’s a narrow lane, so getting the big batteries in and out can be a bit of a struggle sometimes. At Manik Super Battery, we spend most of our time dealing with heavy lead and acid. The shop has that sharp smell that stays in your clothes long after you’ve gone home. We don’t have much room for anything other than the stock and a couple of chairs for people to sit on while they wait. Our hands are usually stained with grease or dirt from handling the old units people bring in for trade. It’s a quiet life in the Gali, except for when the delivery trucks try to squeeze through. We know all the shopkeepers around here, and we often spend our afternoons sharing a tea and talking about the weather or the local news. We don't bother with fancy advertising or anything polished. If a battery is dead, we try to fix it or find a new one that works. It’s practical, everyday work. We’ve been here long enough that people just know to come to the Sunar Wali Gali when they have power trouble. We just do our bit, keep the shop open, and try to stay out of the sun when it gets too hot.
