Maa Gayatri General Store & Cosmetic Store

Our shop is Maa Gayatri General Store & Cosmetic Store, and you can find us in Mangal Bazar, Ghaziabad. We decided to combine general groceries with cosmetics because that’s what people in this neighborhood were looking for. So, on one side of the shop, we have things like lentils and tea, and on the other, we have soaps, creams, and hair oils. It’s a bit of a mix, but it seems to work well for our customers. Mangal Bazar is a very lively area, especially on market days. The shop is usually crowded in the evenings when women come out to shop for the house. We have a few glass cases for the cosmetic items so they stay clean and look nice. The rest of the shop is more practical, with sturdy shelves for the heavier grocery items. We are a small team, mostly just family members taking turns to mind the counter. We don’t have a big marketing plan; we just try to be helpful and have what people need when they need it. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when too many people ask for different things at once, but we manage. We’ve been here for a while and have seen many shops come and go. We just keep our heads down and keep the shelves stocked for the local residents. It’s a decent way to make a living and serve the community.
