You can find Leelawati Public School Sr. Secondary over at 12, G.M.P. Pratap Vihar. It’s a sturdy building that’s been around for a bit. We have students starting from their early years and staying all the way through senior secondary. It’s a long journey, and we see them grow up right in front of us. The mornings in Pratap Vihar are always a bit hectic with the traffic and the kids arriving. Inside, things are a bit more settled, though there’s always a hum of activity from the classrooms. We have different sections for the younger kids and the older ones. The labs and the library are well-used, though books sometimes end up on the wrong shelves. We don’t have a fancy reception area with someone in a suit; usually, it’s just one of us sitting there handling the phones and the visitors. Sometimes the ceiling fans make a bit of noise, and the playground grass gets a little long during the rains, but we manage. The teachers here are just regular people who care about their subjects. We try to keep the parents updated, even if our notices are sometimes typed up in a hurry or have a small typo here and there. It’s a local school for local people, and we don't try to pretend to be anything more than that. It works for us and the families here. We just want to make sure the kids learn what they need and have a safe place to be.
