Lakshmi Saree Centre

Located over at N 76 in Teachers Colony, our shop has been a part of this neighborhood for quite a while. We are tucked away in Sector 12 near Pratap Vihar and Chanderpuri Colony. It’s a residential area mostly, so our customers are usually the women who live nearby. They often stop in while they are out for groceries or taking the kids to school. We have a lot of sarees packed into this small space. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough room for all the boxes we get. We don't have fancy mannequins in the window, just the stock we have sitting on the shelves. Working in Teachers Colony is nice because it’s a bit calmer than the main city markets. We know many of the families around here by their names. My wife helps me run the place during the busy hours in the afternoon. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in Ghaziabad. We just want to provide what the local ladies are looking for without making everything too complicated. Some people come in just to chat and look at the new arrivals. We keep a variety of cottons and some silks too. Dealing with wholesalers and getting the stock delivered can be a bit of a headache sometimes because the narrow lanes make it hard for trucks to get through. But we always make it work. It’s a humble business and we like it that way. Most days are good for us here.
