Kritisha General Store & House Keeping

Kritisha General Store & House Keeping is located right at Holi Chowk in Dundahera. It is one of those places where the location really defines how the day goes. Being near the chowk means there is always a lot of foot traffic, especially during festival times when the whole area gets really crowded. We sell the usual stuff you’d find in a general store but we also carry a lot of housekeeping supplies like mops, cleaning liquids, and brooms. A lot of people living nearby in the rented rooms come to us because they need these basic things to keep their places tidy. My hands are usually busy moving crates or re-arranging the soaps and shampoos. It gets a bit chaotic when three or four people want different things at the exact same time and I’m trying to weigh out some sugar or find a specific brand of detergent. The building is just a regular one and we’ve been here long enough that most of the neighbors just nod as they pass by. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to sit in the dark for a bit, but that’s just how things are around here. I don’t spend much time worrying about how the shop looks as long as I can find what the customer is asking for. It’s a lot of standing and walking around in a small area, but it’s a living and we stay open until quite late most nights.
