Krishna Provisional Store

The main market is always a bit of a mess with cars and people, but that’s Ghaziabad for you. My shop is one of many, but I’ve got my own set of customers. I sell all the usual provisional items like lentils, oils, and packaged snacks. The shop is number 134, so it’s deep in the market. I get here early to beat the heat and get the shutters open before the crowd starts. There is always someone asking for something I just ran out of, so I’m constantly making lists for the suppliers. The walls are lined with metal racks that I put up myself years ago. They’re a bit wobbly now but they hold the weight. I don't use any marketing tricks. I just stand there and serve the people who walk in. Some stay to chat about the news or the prices going up. It’s a long day, usually from morning until late at night when the market finally goes quiet. I keep a small radio in the corner to pass the time when it’s slow. It’s just a regular shop doing regular business in a busy part of town. I do my best to keep everything in stock so nobody leaves empty-handed.
