About Konark Public School – Education in Ghaziabad
We’ve been here in Shalimar Garden for a while now. The school is right on the corner, and honestly, the Sahibabad traffic can be a real headache some mornings when the kids are all arriving at once. You can hear the horns honking from the classrooms, but after 9:00 AM, things finally settle down into a rhythm. The building itself is just a regular brick structure, nothing fancy, with some patches of paint that probably need a touch-up after the last monsoon. Our staff mostly live nearby, so they walk or take rickshaws to get here. Inside, it smells like floor cleaner and old paper most days. We spend a lot of time just keeping things organized, like making sure the registers are filled out and the fans are actually working in the heat. There’s a small playground out back, though it’s more dirt than grass. The kids don't seem to mind, they just run around until they're sweaty and tired. Sometimes the local shopkeepers come by to drop off supplies or just to chat for a minute at the gate. It’s just how things go here. We don’t have any big corporate backing or anything like that, just a group of people trying to keep a school running in this part of town. Every day is pretty much the same, but that’s okay because it works for us and the families around here know where to find us.
