Khajurao International

Our office is tucked away in Guru Nanak Pura, over in Laxmi Nagar. If you know the area, you know it’s crowded and the lanes are narrow. Khajurao International is at C-17/208, which is basically a small building that we’ve used for years. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs to get to us. The walls are painted a dull cream color and we’ve got shelves full of files everywhere. It’s not the kind of place with a big lobby. We just have a few desks and a phone that rings more often than we’d like. Outside, you can always hear the rickshaws and people shouting. Laxmi Nagar is never quiet, even in the evenings. We handle various international trade bits and pieces, mostly just coordinating things on the computer. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we end up just drinking tea and waiting. We aren't a huge corporation, just a handful of people trying to keep things moving. The office feels a bit cramped when we have visitors, but we make it work with what we have. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we don't need to say much to get the day's tasks done. It’s a busy spot, and there’s always something happening on the street below. We usually head home once the sun goes down and the market gets even more packed.
