Noida Sector 62 is mostly office buildings and big paved roads, and Karlhuber School sits right in a corner of that area. The mornings are usually a bit chaotic with the buses trying to navigate the turns near the gate. We have a lot of green patches around the building which is nice compared to all the glass and steel nearby. The staff spent most of the morning getting the hallways ready and making sure the water coolers are filled up before the heat kicks in. It is a fairly modern building, but it has that lived-in feel with art projects taped to the walls and scuff marks on the floor from the kids' shoes. We have got a playground that stays empty during the hottest part of the day but fills up as soon as the bells ring for break. There is always a bit of a hum from the air conditioners and the distant sound of the highway. Our office is tucked away near the entrance, and there is usually a line of parents or delivery people waiting to talk to someone. We do not do things in a very formal way here; it is more about just getting through the daily schedule and making sure the classrooms have enough chalk and markers. The security guards at the 4 A gate know most of the faces by now, which helps keep things moving smoothly during the afternoon pickup rush.
