We operate out of flat B-402 in the Himalaya Apartments, which is in Sector 5 of Vasundhara. It might seem a bit odd to have a sugar business running from an apartment, but it works for us. We use the space mainly for the administrative side of things and handling the distribution paperwork. Himalaya Apartments is a quiet enough place, and the GH-3 area of Vasundhara is easy to get to. We spend our days tracking prices and talking to different mills and wholesalers. It is mostly phone work and typing things into the computer. We have a few files and samples of different grades of sugar sitting on the shelves. Sometimes we have to go out and meet clients at their own warehouses, but this flat is our home base. It is just a small team here, so we do not have many meetings or anything like that. We just get the work done. The balcony gives us a bit of fresh air when things get stuffy inside. We are not trying to impress anyone with a big office. We just focus on the trade and making sure the orders are processed correctly. It is a practical way to run things without all the extra costs of a commercial building. We like the neighborhood and the fact that we can just walk downstairs and find whatever we need for the day.
