Jan Sackcham Foundation

Our office is at S-43-A-1 in Shalimar Garden Extension I. It’s tucked away in a corner of Sahibabad here in Ghaziabad. Finding the place can be a little tricky if you haven't been to this part of 201005 before because the house numbers don't always follow a straight line. Jan Sackcham Foundation is basically run out of this small unit. We have a couple of rooms that we use for everything. One room is mostly for the computers and the other one is where we keep all the supplies and extra chairs. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't had the time to deal with that yet. It’s a residential area mostly, so it stays fairly quiet during the day except for the occasional street vendor passing by. We like the neighborhood because it feels lived-in and real. There’s a small park nearby where some of us go for a quick walk during lunch. Inside, it’s a bit of a mess with cables running across the floor and stacks of paper everywhere. We try to keep it tidy, but things just pile up when we get busy. We have a water cooler in the corner that makes a weird gulping sound every few minutes. It’s just a normal, everyday workspace where we do what needs to be done without any big fuss or fancy stuff around us. We often end up staying late to finish the logs.
