You can find us at Shop No. 72, tucked away in Gali Pansarian, which is right by Gandhi Chowk. It is a historic part of the city and the streets are quite narrow. We have been operating out of this small shop for years. It is amazing how much you can fit into a tiny space if you organize it right. We deal in all kinds of beverages. During the festivals, Gandhi Chowk gets so crowded that it is hard to even get a handcart through the alley. We have to time our deliveries for very early in the morning before the crowds arrive. The shop has an old wooden counter that has been there since my father’s time. We keep the ledger in a drawer and write everything down by hand. It is a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. We do not have air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that wobbles a bit. People stop in for a drink and a bit of gossip about the neighborhood. We know most of the families around here. It is not a fancy place with bright lights. We just have our stock on the shelves and a few coolers in the back. Sometimes the rain leaks in near the front door, so we have to keep a bucket there.
