Jai Shree Radhy Provision

Our shop is located at Sohna Chowk and we actually take up two units which are 335 and 336. It’s a provision store so we have a bit of everything like rice, oil, and different kinds of lentils. The chowk is always busy with people and rickshaws so it never really gets quiet until late at night. We open up early because the ladies in the neighborhood like to get their shopping done before the sun gets too hot. The shelves in 335 are mostly for the heavy sacks while 336 has the smaller items and the counter where I sit. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It's just wooden racks and some old glass jars for the loose items. Sometimes we run out of something and I have to send my boy to the wholesaler to get more while the customer waits and has a chat. We know most people’s names and what they usually buy every week. It feels like a small village sometimes even though we are right in the middle of all the noise at Sohna Chowk. The floor is a bit uneven and we have to put a piece of cardboard under one of the tables to keep it from wobbling. It’s a simple business and we just keep it going one day at a time without too much fuss or worry about big changes.
