J. D. Public Inter College

Out here on Meerut Road, specifically near the Canal Colony in Hapur, life is a bit different than the big city centers. J. D. Public Inter College is right in the middle of it all. You can hear the traffic and the general hum of the town from the classrooms. It’s a place for the older students to finish up their schooling before they head off to whatever comes next. The building has seen a lot of students come and go over the years. It isn’t the newest structure in Hapur, but it holds up okay. We deal with the usual problems like the heat in the summer and the dust that seems to get everywhere no matter how much you sweep. The students are a typical bunch—some are really focused on their books while others are just waiting for the bell to ring so they can head home. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. It’s just classrooms, a bit of space for breaks, and teachers trying to get through the day’s lessons. People in the Canal Colony know us well enough. Sometimes the walk from the main road can be a bit of a trek, especially when the weather isn't great. But that’s just part of living in this area. We keep things pretty simple and don’t try to be something we’re not. It’s a school, after all, and there’s always work to be done here.
