You can find us at Plot No.B-91 in Surya Nagar, which is right near Aggarwal Sweets. Most people use the sweet shop as a landmark because it’s much easier to find than our actual door. The neighborhood is usually bustling, and the smell of fried snacks often drifts into our workspace in the afternoons. Inside the shop, we have several machines for cutting plastic and printing cards. They make a rhythmic clicking noise that you eventually stop noticing after being here for a few hours. There are scrap pieces of PVC and old ribbons everywhere, even though we try to clean up at the end of every day. The desks are covered in small tools and samples of different ID card designs. We don't have a lot of space for customers to wait, so it gets a bit tight when a whole group shows up at once. The walls are mostly bare except for some charts showing different font sizes and lanyard colors. We handle a lot of data entry, so there is a lot of clicking and typing going on. Sometimes the card laminator jams up, and we have to take it apart, which usually results in some grease on our hands. It’s a very practical sort of business where we just focus on getting the cards out the door. We don't have any fancy uniforms or a sleek lobby, just a bunch of machines and a lot of work to get through before the sun goes down.
