Hotel Mela Plaza & Rang-Tarang

Our place is at C-3 Raj Nagar, right in the District Centre. The area is 201001. It’s a big name, Hotel Mela Plaza & Rang-Tarang, but we’re just a regular business like any other on the block. Being in a district center means there are offices and shops all around us. It gets busy during the morning when everyone is coming to work. We have a bit of a parking issue sometimes because the street is so full. The building has been here for a while. We have some bigger rooms that people use for meetings or gatherings, but mostly it's just guests staying the night. The carpet in the hallway is showing its age a bit, but we keep it vacuumed. We don't have any of those fancy modern check-in systems; we just use a ledger and a pen. It’s easier for us to keep track of things that way. The windows look out onto the other buildings in Raj Nagar. It’s not much of a view, but you can see what’s going on. We have a few chairs in the lobby where people wait for their rides. The air conditioning works okay, though it can be a bit loud. We mostly just keep to ourselves and make sure the rooms are ready for whoever shows up next. It’s a steady job, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the district center. People come and go and we just stay here doing our part.
