If you’re walking around Sector 9 in Vaishali, you might find us at 9/2/1, Ug 3 on the Main Road. Home Buddy The Grocery Store is what we call this place, though to us it’s just the shop where we spend all our hours. Ghaziabad is a fast place, and Vaishali is even faster, so we try to keep up with the pace of the people living in the apartments nearby. The store is on the upper ground floor, which is a bit different from the usual street-level shops. We spend a lot of our time checking expiry dates and making sure the produce looks okay. It’s a grocery store, so it’s always a bit of a scramble to keep everything organized. Sometimes the air conditioning struggles when it’s 45 degrees outside, but we just keep going. We know most of the people who live in the surrounding blocks, and they usually pop in for things they forgot during their big weekly shop. We don’t have a massive staff, so everyone does a bit of everything, from mopping the floor to billing customers. It’s not a fancy supermarket, just a place where you can get what you need without a fuss. We handle a lot of phone calls for orders too, which keeps us on our toes. Running a store in Sector 9 is steady work, and we like being right here on the Main Road where everyone can see us.
