Gyan Amrit Public School

Our school is tucked away in the Avas Vikas Colony here in Hapur. It’s a residential area, so it’s usually pretty calm except when the kids are arriving or leaving. We’ve been operating out of A Block for several years. It started small and stayed that way, which we actually prefer. You won't find any glossy brochures here. We just have our classrooms and the teachers who come in every morning. Most of the families living in the colony send their children to us because it’s close and convenient. We spend most of our time just managing the daily schedule. There’s always something to fix, like a leaky tap or a squeaky door, but we manage. The kids seem happy enough playing in the small courtyard we have. We don't spend money on big advertisements. Word of mouth usually brings people in. If a parent wants to talk, they just walk into the office and we have a seat. It’s very informal. We focus on the basic subjects and making sure the homework gets done. Living and working in Hapur means we see our students’ families at the market or the park all the time. It makes the whole thing feel more like a family business than a big institution. We just want to provide a place where the local kids can study without having to travel too far from home. We keep it simple and local.
