Gupta Confectioner

Our shop, Gupta Confectioner, sits at 81-A in Surya Nagar Rampuri, right by Kamla Market. It’s a familiar spot for a lot of people who live around here. We mostly deal with sweets and snacks that people want for their daily tea or special occasions. The kitchen area stays pretty warm throughout the day because something is always being prepared on the stove. We aren't one of those modern cafes with minimalist furniture and high prices. It’s more of a traditional setup with glass counters and the constant smell of sugar in the air. We’ve been at this location for quite a while now. The morning starts early for us, getting everything ready before the first customers show up on their way to work. Kamla Market is a lively place to be, so there’s never a dull moment outside our door. We see the same faces every week, which is the part we like most about being a local shop. We don't spend money on big signs or bright lights. Sometimes the front door squeaks when it opens, but we haven't gotten around to oiling the hinges yet. We keep a few stools near the window for people who want to eat their snacks right away. A lot of the work is done by hand, and it can get a bit messy behind the counter when things are busy. We just try to keep the shelves full and the floor swept for the next person.
