Govt. Girls High School

Govt. Girls High School is at Third M 34 on Ambedkar Road in Ghaziabad. We are right near Kalka Garhi Chowk. If you know that area, you know how loud it gets with all the cars and rickshaws. The school building is an old one. It’s been standing there for many years. We have girls coming from all the nearby colonies to study. The classrooms are basic with old desks and chairs. Some of them have been repaired and have names scratched into the wood from years ago. Being a government school, we don't have anything fancy. We just focus on the lessons and the daily routine. The staff room is usually full of books and tea cups. We talk about the students and the exams. Ambedkar Road is always dusty, so we have to clean the rooms every single day. The sun hits the front of the school in the morning, making it bright but also quite warm. We have the usual blackboards and a lot of chalk dust. During the lunch break, the girls sit together and talk. There isn't a lot of space, but they make do. The gate at Third M 34 is where everyone meets. When the final bell rings, the street outside gets even more crowded. We handle all the forms and the attendance manually. It’s a simple place with a lot of history. We are just part of the local landscape in Ghaziabad. Most people just call us the girls' school near the chowk.
