G D Goenka Public School

Over here in Shakti Khand 3, things can get pretty lively. G D Goenka Public School sits right in the middle of Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. If you know this area, you know the traffic can be a bit of a headache during rush hour. Our school is a big part of the daily rhythm in this neighborhood. We have the usual stuff you would expect. Classrooms, a place to run around, and plenty of desks that have seen better days. It is not a quiet place. Between the bells ringing and the shouting during break time, there is always some noise. We have been at this Indirapuram location for a good bit now. The walls are covered in student projects and old notices that nobody bothered to take down. It feels lived-in. We aren’t trying to win any beauty contests with the architecture. It is a functional space where we get the work done. The staff room is always full of tea cups and stacks of notebooks waiting to be checked. When it rains, the area around Shakti Khand 3 gets a bit muddy, but we all just walk through it. It is just how Ghaziabad is. We know most of the families around here by name. It is a busy, dusty, and loud place, but it is where we are every single day from morning until late afternoon. It works for us.
