Dayawati Raj Bala Memorial Foundation

Dayawati Raj Bala Memorial Foundation operates out of Ashiana Upwan in Indirapuram. We are up on the 8th floor of Tower 4, in apartment A-821. It’s a residential area in Ghaziabad, specifically Ahinsakhand 2. We started this in memory of family, which makes it very personal for us. It isn't a corporate office with a reception desk; it’s our home and our workspace. We focus on helping the people in and around the 201014 area. Living in a high-rise, you might think we’re disconnected, but we’re actually very involved with the community downstairs and in the surrounding neighborhoods. We do a bit of everything, from helping local schools to supporting families in need. It’s not always perfectly organized. Sometimes the phone rings all day, and other days it’s quiet. We use our own resources mostly and rely on friends who want to help out. It’s about being good neighbors, really. We don't have big slogans. We just try to live up to the names the foundation is named after. It’s hard work balancing everyday life with this, but it feels necessary. We’ve seen how much a little bit of help can change things for a person in Ghaziabad. So, we just keep going, doing what we can from our little spot in the tower. It’s our way of helping out.
