We've been here at Plot No.1701 in New Shakti Nagar for a while now. It’s right across from Daulat Colony on GT Road, which is always busy. People know us for being near the main road where all the trucks and cars go by all day long. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all that traffic, but that is just how it is around here. We open up early and stay until the evening. The guys usually sit around the front when it's quiet. Most of the people coming in are regulars from the neighborhood or drivers stopping off the highway. We handle the trading stuff out of this small office. It’s nothing fancy, just some desks and old chairs. We’ve seen the area change quite a bit over the years. New buildings keep going up nearby. Shakti Nagar has grown a lot since we first set up shop. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside for a bit. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. People just drop by or give us a call on the landline. Dealing with folks face to face is just easier. We keep the ledger books on the shelf and try to stay organized, even if things look a bit messy sometimes. The tea seller from around the corner usually brings us a few cups in the afternoon which helps pass the time when things are slow. It's not a complicated life but it keeps us busy enough for now.
