Citizen Convent School

Citizen Convent School is tucked away at 140/1 in Udayagiri, right behind the Quba Mosque. If you are looking for us, the mosque is the best landmark to use because our street can be a little easy to miss if you aren't from around here. The school isn't very big, but we make use of every inch of space we have. It’s a very local atmosphere. You can often hear the sounds from the mosque throughout the day, which gives the place a specific kind of rhythm. We don't have any polished receptionists or high-end office furniture. Our staff room is just a simple place where we sit and have tea during the breaks. The kids come from the surrounding streets, so we know most of the families quite well. It’s the kind of place where you see the same faces every single day for years. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to open the windows and keep going. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just focus on the daily lessons and making sure the kids behave themselves. The building is a bit older, and the stairs are narrow, but it works for what we need. It’s just a regular neighborhood school. We do our best with what we’ve got and keep things moving along day by day.
