Cafe Coffee Day

Vaishali has changed a lot lately, but our spot here on Madan Mohan Malviya Marg stays pretty much the same. We spend most of our mornings just getting things ready before the first group of people comes in for their coffee. Usually, it starts with the students who need to wake up before their classes, and then later on, you see the office workers from around the area stopping by. This Cafe Coffee Day has this specific sound, a mix of the espresso machine hissing and the traffic noise from the street outside. Sometimes the door sticks a little when it's humid, but nobody seems to mind. We have these chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years, and we just keep them wiped down. It gets busy during the afternoons when the sun is really hitting the front windows, so we usually pull the shades down halfway. People sit for hours sometimes, just typing away on laptops or talking quietly. We don't really do much fancy stuff; we just make sure there’s enough milk in the fridge and the floors are swept after the lunch rush. Madan Mohan Malviya Marg is always moving, so it’s nice to have this little corner where things feel a bit slower. We know most of the regulars by their usual orders now, which makes the shifts go by faster. It’s just a normal part of the neighborhood here in Vaishali.
