Cafe Bite

If you look for us in Sarita Vihar Som Bazar, specifically Aali Vihar 5, you will find Cafe Bite. It’s a small shop, more like a little nook where we keep all our stuff. The market area here gets very busy, especially on the days when the Som Bazar is in full swing. There are people everywhere, and the noise is constant. We have a small stove and a counter where we prepare things. It’s nothing fancy, just a few stools for people to sit on if they aren't in a hurry. The walls have a few posters that are starting to peel at the corners. We’ve thought about taking them down, but they’ve been there so long it feels wrong. Sometimes the power goes out in Aali Vihar 5, and we have to use torches to see what we are doing until the generator kicks in. It’s a bit of a struggle, but we are used to it by now. The floor is made of old tiles that are chipped in a few places. We try to keep the place as clean as we can, but with the dust from the street, it’s a never-ending job. We don’t have a big menu or anything, just what we can manage to make in our small kitchen. It’s a simple life running this cafe, and we just take it one day at a time, making sure the tea is hot and the snacks are on the counter for whoever stops by.
