Working with power systems in Vaishali means you are always looking at wires and circuit boards. Our spot at 423/5/6 isn't the easiest to find if you aren't looking for it, but we have been here long enough that people know where to bring their broken UPS units. It’s a lot of technical work, checking voltages and seeing where a fuse might have blown out. I usually have a multimeter in my pocket and some copper wire sitting on the table. The space is a bit cramped because we have so many units waiting to be looked at. Sometimes people bring in stuff that is so old the parts aren't even made anymore, so we have to see what we can do. Vaishali is a busy area, and there is always a lot of movement outside, but inside it’s mostly just the hum of the machines we are testing. It isn't a glamorous job, just a lot of troubleshooting and making sure things don't short circuit. We spend a lot of time explaining how to keep the dust out of the vents so the machines don't overheat. Mostly, it’s just quiet work, fixing one thing at a time until the bench is clear. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the electricity side of things without getting a shock.
