Apsara Sarees

Apsara Sarees is located at Shop No.170 in Jawahar Gang. We are quite close to the Railway Road, so you can often hear the trains passing by in the distance while we work. The shop has been in this spot for a long time, and it feels like it. The shelves are made of old wood, and they are packed tight with different kinds of sarees. We don't have any of those bright, flashy lights. We just use the regular bulbs that have been there for years. Jawahar Gang is an older part of the city, and the streets are a bit narrow. We spend most of our day sitting on the cushioned floor, which is how we’ve always done it. When a customer comes in, we pull down boxes and show them what we have. There’s no rush here. We talk about the fabric and the patterns while drinking some tea from the shop next door. We don't have a website or an app. If people want to see what we have, they just come to the shop and look. Sometimes the rain makes the street outside a bit muddy, but people still find their way to us. It’s a family-run business, and we take things one day at a time. We don't bother with big sales or loud advertisements. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been at Shop 170 for long enough that people know where to find us when they need a new saree for a wedding or a party.
