Akash General Store

Akash General Store is situated right near the Ghaziabad Station. If you have ever been to this station, you know how hectic it gets with all the passengers, vendors, and the constant noise of the trains. We are right in the thick of all that chaos. We sell all sorts of things, from snacks and cold drinks to basic household items that people might need in a hurry before they catch their ride. The shelves are usually packed very tight because we try to fit as much as possible into our small shop space. It gets quite dusty because of the trains and the busy road nearby, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the jars and bottles. We see a lot of different people every day—travelers catching a late train, locals living nearby, and kids coming in for some sweets. It is never really quiet here. We open up very early and stay open until late at night. There isn't much room to move around behind the counter, but we have gotten used to the tight squeeze. Sometimes we run out of a certain item and have to wait for the next delivery truck to find a way through the station traffic. We don't have a computer system or anything fancy like the big malls. We just write things down in a notebook or remember the prices. It's a bit of a squeeze when the shop is full of people. We just try to help everyone.
