In Ankur Colony, life moves at its own pace, but the roads around Ghaziabad 201012 are always full of people going somewhere. We have our setup at number 209, right in the Ankur Vihar area near DLF. It’s a place where we teach both car driving and how to ride a bike, so there is always some kind of vehicle parked out front. The office is really just a small room where we keep the keys and the registration books. There’s a lot of dust that comes in from the road, so we are always wiping down the table. We have some old posters about traffic rules on the wall that have started to curl at the edges. Most of the people who come to us are from the nearby colonies, and they usually want to learn quickly so they can get to work. The bikes we use for training are basic models because they are easier for beginners to handle. Sometimes the weather in Ghaziabad gets really hazy, but we still go out for the lessons unless it’s raining too hard. We don’t have any big signs or bright lights, just the name of the place and the address. It feels like a neighborhood spot where everyone knows everyone else. We just spend the day going back and forth on the local roads, showing people how to balance a bike or shift gears in a car. It’s just what we do every day.
