Abhijit General Store

If you walk down Gali No.2 in Ambedkar Vihar, you’ll find us at Shop No.25. We’re right there in Sector 37, Noida, tucked away in the Harijan Basti area. It’s a lively spot with kids playing outside and people always moving about. I started this store because the area needed a place where you could grab the small things without going too far. We’ve got everything from soap and shampoo to bags of flour and packets of chips. Some mornings I’m here before the sun is even fully up, just to get the shutters open and sweep the front. The space is a bit tight when we get a fresh shipment of cold drinks, but we stack them as best as we can. It’s not a big corporate supermarket, just me and occasionally a cousin helping out during the rush hours. People stop by to chat as much as they do to buy stuff. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use a torch to find the specific brand of tea someone wants. It’s part of the job. I try to keep the prices fair because I know everyone around here. You won't find anything fancy, just the everyday items you run out of at home. Dealing with the distributors is a headache sometimes, but seeing the same neighbors every day makes it worth the trouble. We just stay focused on the work and making sure the shop stays open for everyone.
