A 2 Z Departmental Store

Vaishali is a busy part of Ghaziabad, and our shop, A 2 Z Departmental Store, sits right in the Main Enclave area. The name suggests we have everything, and while we try to keep a good variety, it’s mostly just the essential things that families around here use daily. We have rows of pulses, spices, and cleaning supplies packed into the space. The floor is just plain cement, and the fans hum all day to keep the air moving in the Ghaziabad heat. It gets pretty warm in the summer, so we usually keep the door propped open. We moved into this spot in 201012 a while back. I remember when there were fewer buildings around, but now it’s all grown up. Dealing with the suppliers is probably the most tiring part of the job, checking crates and making sure nothing is damaged. We don’t really do any big marketing or anything. People just know we are here. Sometimes kids come in after school for candies or a notebook. It’s a quiet existence for the most part, except for when the delivery trucks are unloading. I spend a lot of time arranging things on the racks because customers tend to move stuff around. It is just a regular neighborhood store where you can get your monthly supplies without having to go to a big mall. We like the local feel of the Main Enclave area and the people who live here.
