Sheo Bricks

Our place, Sheo Bricks, is located right on Goh Road in Panchanpur Gaya. We are very close to the Devi Mandir, so you can always hear the bells in the morning when the prayers start. That is a nice way to start the workday for all of us here. We have been making bricks here for quite some time now. It is a family thing, passed down through the years, and we do not really know any other way to live. The sun in Gaya can be really tough in the summer months, but that is actually when the bricks dry the fastest and best. We have a good group of local guys who come in every day to help with the molding and the stacking. It is not a quiet job, there is always the sound of tractors or people talking loudly over the wind. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here because of the temple being so close. Sometimes we run out of stock if a big project starts in town, so we tell people to come early in the day. The road can get a bit bumpy near our entrance because of the heavy trucks coming and going. We spend most of our time outside, checking the rows and making sure the heat is right in the chimney. It is simple work but it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. If you are passing by, you will see us.
