People usually find us because they’re staying at the Siddhartha International Hotel or they just got off a train at the station nearby. It’s a busy spot here on Station Road in Gaya. We’ve been running this bar for a while now. It’s not a fancy place, just somewhere you can sit down after a long day of traveling or working. The fans are always going and there’s usually some noise from the street outside. We have our regulars who live nearby and travelers who are just passing through for one night. Sometimes it gets quite crowded in the evenings when the late trains come in. We keep things pretty simple here. There isn’t much to say other than we open up every day and stay until the hotel starts getting quiet. You can see the station from just outside so it’s easy to find us. The staff knows most of the locals by name. We spend a lot of time cleaning glasses and making sure everything is stocked up behind the counter. It gets very hot in Gaya, so the cold drinks are what most people are looking for when they walk in. We don’t have any big signs or anything, just the name Sagar bar on the door. It’s a practical place for a drink. Most people find us by walking through the hotel lobby. We just try to keep the place decent for whoever walks in. It's been part of this neighborhood for years now.
