We are based out of Barola in Noida. The office is really just a simple setup at Vinod Kumar’s place. It’s not one of those glass-fronted buildings you see in the newer parts of the city. We prefer it this way because it keeps us close to where things are actually happening. Most of our work involves regular construction tasks and managing the labor that goes into it. It’s a lot of hands-on management. My days usually involve talking to contractors or making sure we have enough bricks and sand at the sites. Barola is a crowded area, so getting materials in and out can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. We’ve learned to deal with the narrow lanes and the noise. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. Most people find out about us through word of mouth or by just seeing our name on a board. It’s a very straightforward operation. We focus on the practical side of building. There is always something to fix or a plan to adjust. Sometimes the weather slows us down, especially during the monsoon rains, but we find ways to keep things moving. We take our work seriously but we don’t feel the need to dress it up in fancy language. It’s just us, working hard in our corner of Noida, trying to get things built right.
