Our workshop is at D-134 in Sector-63. It’s a straightforward operation where we spend most of our hours looking at patterns and fabrics. We don't have a big showroom with mannequins or bright lights. Instead, we have big workbenches and a lot of industrial sewing machines that make a lot of noise. The walls are mostly covered with charts and sample swatches of different materials we use. We do a lot of garment construction here. Sometimes the samples don't turn out right the first time, so we have to sit down and figure out what went wrong with the fit. It’s a lot of trial and error. The team is small, just about ten of us working through the piles of fabric. Sector-63 can be a bit of a maze with all the similar-looking buildings, but we’ve been at D-134 long enough that the couriers know us well. We usually start the day early before the sun gets too strong. There’s always a stack of tea cups near the sink and someone is usually complaining about the heat or the deadlines. We don't put on any acts for visitors; they see the work as it is. It’s just honest labor and trying to get the garments finished so we can move on to the next batch. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever the client needs us to put together that week.
