We have been here at B-60 in Sector-2 for a while now. Most days start pretty early because there is always something that needs finishing. It’s not a huge place, just a regular workshop where we keep our tools and materials organized on the shelves. Sometimes the power goes out or the street gets noisy with the trucks passing through Sector 2, but we just keep at it. My cousin helps out with the inventory and we usually have tea around eleven o'clock. It’s a lot of manual work. You’ll see scraps of fabric or bits of thread on the floor because that’s just how it goes when you’re busy. We aren't doing anything fancy here. We just take the orders, look at the specs, and try to get the pieces done by the time the client expects them. The walls could use a new coat of paint, honestly. Last winter was particularly cold and we had to bring in a small heater just to keep our hands moving. People around the neighborhood know where we are because of the sign out front that’s a bit faded now. It’s a simple life, really. We open the shutters in the morning and close them when the sun goes down. There’s no big corporate office or anything like that, just a few of us working hard to make sure everything we send out is decent. Sometimes we make mistakes, but we fix them right then and there.
