We’ve been based here at D-159 for quite a while now. Most people don’t really know what Quantum Integrated Communications does just by looking at the sign, but we’re mostly inside dealing with a lot of wires and computer screens. It’s a busy place, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get their coffee and log in at the same time. The office is a bit of a mix of old furniture and new tech. We have these heavy desks that have been here since the start, and they’ve seen better days, but they do the job. The neighborhood is okay, though parking can be a bit of a nightmare if you get here after nine. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background to cut through the sound of the fans. It’s not a fancy corporate setup with glass walls or anything. It’s just a practical workspace where we spend our eight or nine hours a day. Sometimes we stay later when a project gets complicated, which happens more often than we’d like. We are just a small team of people who have known each other for years. We don’t really have big meetings in boardrooms. Usually, we just shout over the partitions or gather around someone’s monitor to figure things out. It’s honest work and we just try to keep everything running smoothly without too much fuss. D-159 is basically our second home at this point.
