Gaon Restaurant

We are up on the first floor of Citi Market in Sector 41, right above the Religare Path. It’s a busy corner of Noida, and our place, Gaon, is where we serve the kind of food we grew up with. We didn't want to make another one of those shiny, expensive restaurants you see in the malls. The name "Gaon" is just because we like the simple, rural style of cooking. The chairs are wooden and the plates are basic. It’s not a very big place, so it can get a bit loud when all the tables are full. We don’t have a massive staff, just a few guys in the kitchen and one person taking orders. Sometimes the wait for food can be a bit long when we are busy, but that’s because we don't use a lot of pre-made stuff. We try to keep things as honest as we can. The market stairs can be a bit steep, but once you’re inside, it’s a nice enough spot to sit and eat. We don’t have a marketing budget or anyone to manage our "image." We just cook the food and hope people like it enough to come back. It’s a tough business in Noida with so much competition, but we’ve been doing okay just by being ourselves. Nothing fancy, just good meals.
