Up on the first floor in Block SK 2, that’s where you’ll find us. V D S Market is where we set up the spice business. It's in Sector 93. Most of the time, the whole hallway smells like ground chillies or turmeric because that’s what we do all day. We deal with all kinds of masalas. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs to 13, but people find us eventually. This market can get pretty hectic on weekends, but the first floor is usually a little quieter than the ground level. We spend a lot of time packing things and checking the stock. It’s messy work. Your clothes end up smelling like coriander by the end of the shift. We’ve been in this Estate for a bit now. It’s not a huge operation, just a few of us making sure the bags are filled right. People come in looking for specific blends for their cooking at home. We don’t have fancy displays or anything. Just bags and boxes of spices everywhere you look. Sometimes the dust from the grinding gets everywhere, so we are always wiping down the counters. It’s just a regular local business trying to get the orders out to the shops and houses nearby.
