Urban Spices

Urban Spices is located at Shop 15 inside the JM Orchid complex in Sector 76. Noida is full of big buildings and lots of places to eat, but we have stayed in this small spot for a good while. It is a very basic setup. We spend a lot of our time just sourcing the ingredients we need for the daily cooking. The mornings are usually the busiest time for prep work. It is not a very exciting job, but it is what we do to keep the place running. Most of the people who come here are residents from JM Orchid or the other apartments nearby. We have gotten to know who likes extra salt or who wants their gravy a bit thicker. It is nice to have that sort of connection with the people in the neighborhood. The shop is not fancy at all. We have some simple tables and the usual kitchen equipment in the back. Sometimes we run out of a certain dish if it was a busy day, and we just have to tell the customers we are out. They usually understand because they know how we operate. We do not have a corporate office or a big team of managers. It is just us here in the shop every day. We try to keep the prices at a level where people can afford to come back often. If you are walking around Sector 76, you will see our shop.
