Katatayani Rice Mill

Katatayani Rice Mill is tucked away on the second lane of Braj Nagar, just off Luchepura Road here in Ganjam. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a while now. It’s a practical setup, mostly focused on getting the rice processed and out the door to the local shops. The building isn't much to look at, just a sturdy place for the equipment. We started out small and stayed that way because it’s easier to manage things ourselves. Every morning starts with checking the power and getting the belts moving. The dust can get a bit thick during the busy season, but we keep the windows open for a breeze. Living and working in District Ganjam means we know most of the people who bring their crops to us. We aren't trying to be the biggest mill around, just a reliable one where people can get their work done without any fuss. Sometimes the machinery breaks down, and we have to spend the afternoon with grease on our hands fixing it. That’s just part of the life here on Luchepura Road. We don't have any fancy offices, just a small desk where we keep the ledger books. Most of our regulars just walk in and have a seat on the bench while they wait for their grain. It’s a slow-paced kind of business, even with the loud machines. We just keep our heads down and do the work as it comes, making sure every bag is filled right.
