Jashoda Oil Udyog is based out in Ganjam, Orissa. We’re in the 761006 area, which is a bit of a mix of fields and small industrial spots. Our work involves oil, and you can usually smell it before you even get to the gates. It’s a private limited company, but it feels more like a family business because many of us have worked together for years. The facility is a bit older, and the machines make a lot of noise throughout the day. We process the oil and get it ready for transport. It’s heavy work and the floors are often a bit slippery, so you have to watch your step. We don’t have a big corporate office with air conditioning. We just have a small room where we keep the records and handle the money. The Orissa heat can be pretty intense, especially in the summer months. We all take turns making sure things are running right. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t have time for fancy talk or marketing meetings. We just need to make sure the oil is moving and the customers are satisfied. Most of our workers live nearby in the village. It’s a simple life and the work is steady. We’ve been through good seasons and bad ones, but we’re still here in Ganjam doing what we do. It’s just how things are for us at Jashoda Oil.
