Firoz Ji Physiotherapy Clinic & Health Centre

Our clinic is over on Sarkhej Road in the Juhapura area, right opposite Sog and near the Maula Azad Society. It’s easy to miss if you aren't looking for it, but we’ve been here long enough that most of the neighbors know where we are. We do a lot of physiotherapy work here. People come in with bad backs, knees that won’t bend right, or after they’ve had some kind of injury. The space isn’t very big, so we have to be organized with the tables and the machines we use for the exercises. It can get a bit sweaty in here during the summer when the fans are going full blast, but that’s just part of it. We spend a lot of time helping people move their arms or legs and showing them how to do stretches at home. Some patients come in every day for weeks and we get to know their whole life stories. It’s a lot of physical work for us too. The floor is just simple tile and we have some charts on the wall showing muscles and bones. It’s not a spa or a gym, it’s just a health centre for people who need to get moving again. We usually have some tea going in the back room between appointments. It’s a simple setup and we like it that way because it feels more like a local shop than a big hospital. Firoz Ji is usually around to check on things and keep the patients on track with their recovery routines.
